So i was challenged this weekend by :iconkhaosdesigns: to do a vector version of one of her tattoo designs. This was annoying, but fun all the same (i hate gradient mesh).

Illustrator CS2, about 11 hours total... jpeg goodness for here.

wow thats very polished. looks great. the gradient mesh is something i haven't got to grips with, i prefer to put two shapes of differing colour over eachother and blend with either 'specified steps' or 'smooth colour'. alt + ctrl + b is the shortcut. you probly know that but if you dont it'd prove helpful i'd say. great piece. very accomplished :)

yeah, i've done that too. for this piece, mesh was the only way to capture her shading style.
